- Casting auditions are on Wednesday 24 July from 7:30 pm
at Peninsula Theatre, Cnr McMasters and Ocean Beach Road, Woy Woy. - Auditions are open group auditions with a set time allocated for each director.

The Wonder of Christmas written by David Crewe - director Mark Austin
Genre: Comedy
The Wonder of Christmas is a staged comedy radio play based on the Carol ‘Good King Wenceslas. You may think that you know all about the story of this famous Christmas carol, but it turs out there are some dark truths lurking there and a surprising ending.
With no script to learn - well not much - and lots of fun with doubling parts and voice changes, this is a fun take on a seasonal favourite. Two men and two women, almost any ages.

On a beach where time stands still, a woman brings her two grandchildren to share stories of magic and memory.

Genre: Comedy / Drama
Jane worries about her brother Tommy. His life has been spiralling out of control and she’s doing everything she can to get it back on track. They’ve had a day of “cleaning up” and she just wants to relax with a glass of wine, but Tommy has other ideas.

Tom – male (5 years younger than Jane)

Genre: Comedy
In our new technology driven world, the aim is to have everything we need or want be managed
by AI (artificial intelligence). This includes AI assisted self-service checkouts in our supermarkets making one’s weekly shop a breeze. Will we wonder how we ever managed without AI and the incredible nature of this technological helper, or will we be left wondering how all this happened under our noses or while we slept. Join our fearless shopper as she plumbs the depths of this new world of shopping. Who would not want to spend their day in such a supermarket?

The Waiting Room - written by Trudi Slaven - director David Crewe
Genre: Mystery / Drama
Lisa is a woman who’s spent her life in the grip of her ‘bad habits’. But bad habits have a way of catching up with you. So she finds herself here, in an anonymous waiting room, for an appointment with… well, she doesn’t know. There are two women already sitting on the uncomfortable chairs: Jade and Nan. They’re hashing over an old argument as Lisa stumbles through the door, at which point they turn their attention to her. Who is she? Why is she there? What brought her to this point? And why is she so damp? Slowly, they tease out the unlovely details of her ruined life and it becomes clear that Jade and Nan are versions of her: who Lisa once was, and who she might still become. And the waiting room is a nowhere place - a point between something and nothing. Jade and Nan are there to lead her towards the decision Lisa must make. And it’s a big one - her life depends upon it. What will she do?

When a loved one passes at a young age, do you ever stop wondering what might have become of them? Two women meet at a local cemetery and ponder the challenges of moving past the death of loved ones who were taken before their time.
